Pansies Are Everywhere!-Butterfly Punched Pansies

Butterfly Punch Pansies

The beauteous pansies rise in purple, gold, and blue, with tints of rainbow hue mocking the sunset skies.    –Thomas  John Ouseley, The Angel of the Flowers

Butterfly Pansies 018

Butterfly-punched pansies were our project for the May Stamp Club.  Aren’t these pretty?  And they are so easy to make.  Use the Floating Watercolor Technique (without the embossing) and the Butterfly Punch from Stampin’ Up!

Punch two Butterflies out of Shimmer White card stock, grab your favorite ink pad reinkers, and create a wide variety of pansy colors (blues, purples, yellows, oranges, burgundies, mauves) using the Floating Watercolor Technique.  After the “pansy” parts have dried, layer one on top of the other and place a brad in the middle.  Draw the lines on the pansies using a coordinating marker.

Here is the final Stamp Club project.  By using the very versatile Sincere Salutations stamp set, this card could be used for almost any occasion.
