Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Fabric Coasters and Christmas Ornaments

I created these coaster ornaments using  Designer Fabrics found in the SU! Holiday Mini Catalog for my downline as Christmas gifts.  When you purchase the Designer Fabrics from Stampin’ Up!, the bundles come with pamphlet of instructions for 5 great fabric projects.  I used one of the ideas in the pamphlet for these coasters.  I am not the most proficient seamstress, so I am glad I had these instructions!

Fabric Coasters 022

There was a little bit of sewing involved, but for the most part, this was an easy project.  If you don’t have a sewing machine, the layers of fabric and batting could be hand stitched or glued with fabric glue or a hot gun. Originally, these were going to be coasters, but then I thought they would make great Christmas ornaments.  So, I got out my Crop-a-dile and punched a hole through the layers of fabric and batting and added a ribbon hanger.

These are two I made using Candy Cane Christmas and other fabric I had in my stash (the green tree).
