Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Faux Tearing-OLW Feeling Blue

“Feeling Blue” is this week’s challenge over at One Layer Wednesday.

Blue is a great color. “Blue” is my maiden name, so I’ve always been kind of partial to blue!

For this challenge, I decided to try the Faux Tearing technique.

Faux tearing 005

This technique is very simple to do.  Just tear the edge of a piece of copy paper and lay it over your glossy white card base.  Brayer on color above or below the tear.  For this card, I first embossed images from Circle Circus and Delicate Doilies using white embossing powder.  Then I brayered on my blue color, Marina Mist, for an emboss resist technique.  Buff with a paper towel, and you are done!

Supplies Used:

Stamp Sets: Circle Circus, Delicate Doilies, Perfectly Penned

Ink: Marina Mist, Versamark

Paper: Glossy White

Accessories: brayer, copy paper, heat tool, white embossing powder
