Just in time for autumn, this week’s CASology challenge is “Leaf”. CAS stands for “clean and simple” and is my kind of stamping!
I’d also like to submit this card to Patrice’s 52 Card Pickup request over at The Old Back Porch.
One of my all-time favorite techniques is faux quilting. I immediately thought of the leaf quilt block pattern found on equiltblocks.com. Although this site is geared towards fabric quilters, I have used many of the patterns for my faux quilt projects using paper. This is a great technique for using up paper scraps.
My pattern consist of 1″ square pieces of paper, so my quilt block measures 3″x3″.
Once assembled, I ran the piece through my Big Shot using the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder. Any number of paper designs and colors would work for the leaf. I liked the simplicity of this Early Espresso dotted paper.
