Iris Folded Christmas Tree-Nacho Average Color Challenge #24
We have a great winter-themed color challenge this week over at the Nacho Average site.
Here is my contribution, an Iris Folded Christmas tree!

For this card, I used scraps of the Designer Series Paper Travel Journal. This paper is retired, but is one of my favorites and is perfect for this color challenge. The striped paper I used at the bottom of the tree had thin stripes of orange in it which made it a little bit of a challenge to use for this color combination. I had to cut the paper in between the orange stripes and hope I had long enough pieces to fill in the pattern. Whew, it worked out perfectly!
I used Silver Glimmer paper for the “iris”, the tree base and star. The tree base was cut free-form out of a scrap piece of Silver Glimmer.
The tree is a triangle which is a basic iris folding pattern. Here is a simple triangle pattern I found online at familycrafts.about.com
