I’ve been having fun creating some projects using the Blown Ink Technique (see postings 07/16 and 07/18 for more information). While putting away the supplies, I noticed that the worksheet paper I was using had a very interesting mix of colors and shapes. The splotches and shapes were where I blew the ink off the edges of my project. Never wanting to throw anything away, I decided this paper would make a great background for a quick card.
I cut the worksheet paper down and then ran it through the Big Shot using the new Alphabet Press Embossing Folder from Stampin’ Up! I then lightly sponged on Crisp Cantaloupe ink over the embossing to help the raised image pop a little more. Since I wanted the background to be the main focus of the card, I added a simple greeting and button. Very easy and a great way to recycle and reuse!
