Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Thinking of You Water Color Sun Burst

I Case’d this idea from Stampin’ Up!’s Shelli Gardner. It is an easy water color technique, and it just makes me smile!

Watercolor sun burst 002

I started with a piece of Shimmery White card stock.  I sponged on a large circle of Daffodil Delight ink using a sponge dauber.  I then sponged a smaller circle of Pumpkin Pie ink in the center of the larger circle, then sponged on a touch of Rich Razzleberry to the center of the Pumpkin Pie circle.  Shelli’s instructions said to use an Aqua Painter to paint water lines from the center Rich Razzleberry circle into the Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight circles.  I tried that and didn’t quite like the look when it dried.  So instead, I lightly spritzed on some water using a spritzer bottle and set it aside to dry allowing the three colors to mix together.  Once it was dried, I then used my Color Spritzer Tool and a Raspberry Ripple marker and blew on some Rich Razzleberry splatters.

I like the tie dye effect of this technique.
