We have a pretty color challenge this week over at the Nacho Average site:
Primrose Petals, Daffodil Delight, Midnight Muse
Here’s by contribution:
For this card, I wanted to try a something a little different using the Baby Wipe Technique Instead of stamping a stamp, I wanted to stamp with a clear-mount block that had been inked up in the baby wipe ink palette.
Here’s how:
I first made my ink palette by placing drops of reinker onto a folded baby wipe that had been placed into a Powder Pal. I used the challenge colors of Primrose Petals, Daffodil Delight and Midnight Muse.
I placed my clear-mount block “E” into the palette to ink it up,
then stamped the block onto a piece of glossy white card stock. Oh, pretty! And what a fun background piece to craft with!
The colors of this challenge are non-traditional Christmas, but since I am focusing on the task of making Christmas cards, this piece turned into a fun, non-traditional Christmas card!
The Clear-Block background piece measures 3 x 3. The Daffodil Delight cover piece measure 3 1/4 x 3 1/4. I cut out a circle from the center using my Big Shot and Circles Framelits, then embossed it using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing Folder. I layered it on top of the background piece using Dimensionals, then popped up everything on the Whisper White card base using Dimensionals. The trees were punched using the Pennant Builder punch and then embossed using the Big Shot and Fancy Fan embossing folder. The stars were punched using the star from the Merry Minis Punch Pack. Everything was popped up using Dimensionals.
