Christmas Giving-Money or Check Holder

Christmas Giving-Money or Check Holder

This year, my husband and I seem to be mostly giving checks as our Christmas gifts to family members.  I wanted to spruce up the packaging just a little bit so I came up with these quick and easy money or check holders.

Here are the instructions:

Start with a piece of card stock or Designer Series Paper measuring 7 1/2″ x 7″.  On the 7 1/2″ side, score at 5 1/8″ and 2″.  Fold along the scored lines to create the pocket and top flap.  Secure the sides of the pocket using Sticky Strip.   Cut a piece of coordinating card stock or Designer Series paper measuring 6 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ for the top flap.  Then decorate the front and inside as desired.  You can wrap a ribbon around the front to keep the holder closed.  Or add a little bit of Dotto temporary adhesive to the inside of the embellishment like I did.  This is a great way to use up some of those paper and ribbon scraps.

Change up the paper for any occasion gift giving!
