Our CASology cue word this week is “Paint.”
I love crafting with paint chips and thought this project would work perfectly with this week’s cue word.
You can see my Paint Chip cards Here
I started with a paint chip that I picked up at our local home improvement store. The colors are mauves and peaches. Not sure I’d want them on my wall, but they are pretty for crafting. In fact, one of the colors on the chip is called “Panic.” Another one is “Mischief.” Who comes up with these names?
Anyway, I simply cut the chip into 1/4″ wide strips and mounted them on a square piece of card stock that I had covered with adhesive. I cut off the ends to use for the next row so the colors pretty much are in the order found on the paint chip. Once done, I mounted it on a piece of black matting.
To keep the card a one layer card, I cut out a square from the front of the card base using my Big Shot and a square framelit. The black matting is actually mounted on the inside of the front of the card.
Paint chips, so many possibilities….
