Here’s a little different take on my Masked Pleasant Poppies card posted HERE.
This card was my swap card for a recent Stamp Club. Our Hostess wanted the theme to be “flowers with a touch of bling!”
I used the same technique for my Masked Pleasant Poppies card, but with a change of colors. I also used watercolor paper instead of regular card stock.
I started by making a square mask out of a piece of computer paper using the Big Shot and a square framelit. I placed the mask on my watercolor paper card front, securing it with a little bit of temporary adhesive. I then stamped the Pleasant Poppies and the speckles from Gorgeous Grunge using Versamark and heat embossed using Early Espresso embossing powder. Once embossed, I simply added the colors Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Crisp Cantaloupe, Marina Mist, Soft Sky and Gumball Green using an Aqua Painter. After a little blending, I removed the mask and stamped the greeting. I also added a butterfly punched out of Champagne Glimmer paper for the touch of bling in the swap theme!
