Check out the easy sketch we have for you this week over at the Nacho Average site!
Here’s my contribution:
For this card, I used To You and Yours Too, a new stamp set found in the Holiday Catalog from Stampin’ Up! This set, with the image of the pine trees and deer, perfectly fits my surroundings here in the mountains of southern Colorado!
The background is the Northern Lights Technique and is very simple to do. Use a sponge or sponge daubers (I used sponge daubers) to swipe on alternating streaks of color. I used Marina Mist and Wisteria Wonder. The trick is to start at the bottom of the card stock and swipe upwards, keeping the darker color (and any smudges from the sponge or sponge dauber) at the bottom where it can be hidden by stamping the main image. And by doing this, the color will also be lighter at the top of the piece. Once you are done, stamp the main image using a darker ink. I used Night of Navy.
