Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Wonderland All is Calm, All is Bright-Bleach Background

Wonderland 023

For this card, I revisited the bleach background for a pretty winter scene.  The bleach technique is one of my favorites, and it is easy to do:

I put a sheet of paper towel in a powder pal and then carefully poured a small amount of bleach on the towel.   I inked up my stamps from Wonderland (the trees) and To You and Yours Too (the stars) in the bleach and stamped on Night of Navy card stock.  As  it dries, it will bleach out the card stock, creating a neat effect.  The cool thing about this technique is that each color of card stock that is stamped with the bleach will turn a different color.  It’s one of those techniques that you have to try a bunch of different card stock to see what you get and what you like best.  The biggest tip is to be extra careful with the bleach.  Wear old clothes and protect your work surface. You are working with bleach, and we all know how disaster can strike if you’re not careful.  Also, make sure you clean your stamps immediately after use.
