I decided to break in my new stamp set, In the Meadow (found in the Occasions Catalog), with a quick and simple clear block watercolor background.
For this card, I tapped ink (Island Indigo, Marina Mist and Mossy Meadow) along the edges of a clear block “E”. I then lightly spritzed the block with water so the ink would pool and run. I placed it on a piece of watercolor paper for a few seconds, allowing the ink to soak into the paper. I lifted up the block and had a really pretty watercolor background. From there, I stamped the trees, grass and deer from In the Meadow. I filled in the deer by using an Aqua Painter to color in Soft Suede ink.
The greeting is from Picture Perfect.
Easy, easy!
