Four Seasons of Wreaths

Four Seasons of Wreaths

I just wanted to share the four seasons of wreaths I have made that we have hanging on the inside of our front door.

Spring!

Four Seasons of Wreaths

This wreath is from the April 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit called Lovely Little Wreath.

Summer!

Four Seasons of Wreaths

This wreath was made from a kit called Burlap and Blooms that Stampin’ Up! offered a couple of years ago.

The kit came with a cardboard ring, burlap, die-cut flowers, and accents.  I held a couple of classes where we made the wreaths in class.

Easy, easy!

Fall!

This wreath was another really simple one to create.  I used a white foam wreath and a flannel shirt I purchased at a thrift store.  I cut the shirt into 1″ wide strips and then wrapped them around the wreath, securing it with straight pins as I went.  The part that is holding the flowers is one of the cuffs of the sleeve.  The hanger is from the front placket. The darker part behind the flowers is 2 back pockets of an old pair of jeans.  A stitch here and there with needle and thread held all the pieces together.

Winter!

This wreath was also made using a white foam wreath and a red and black flannel shirt purchased from the same thrift store.  Strips of the shirt were wrapped around the wreath and secured using straight pins.  The larger snowflakes were cut out of Coke and Coke Zero aluminum cans using my Big Shot and Snowflake die.

(For more Aluminum Can Projects and a video tutorial, please visit my posting HERE).

The smaller snowflakes were wooden elements Stampin’ Up! sold in their 2015 Holiday Catalog, dabbed in Versamark, and heat embossed using silver embossing powder.  I used a variety of brads to insert into the centers, and each was attached to the wreath using hot glue.

And here is the wreath that hangs on the outside of our front door year-round.

This wreath is made with painted pine cones, and was A LOT more work than the four seasons wreaths!

But, it was worth it as it makes me smile!

I watched the videos and realized how to do a shaker card. Pretty cool. The bubble wrap card is so much fun. The blue really stands out in each card. I like your videos. You get right to the card instructions. Great creative ideas. -D Welch
