Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Watercolor Paper Background and Sheltering Tree

It’s almost the middle of August!  Where has the summer gone?

I have been super busy and haven’t had much time for stamping, darnit!

Since the card I recently shared for the Nacho Average “summer fun” challenge featured the paper towel background technique, I thought I’d share again a card I created using the same technique with Sheltering Tree.

It may not be a new sample, but I think it is still pretty cool!

Hopefully, I can get back into a stamping routine soon.

Sheltering Tree 103

The background was made after I cleaned up the ink from inside an embossing folder using a paper towel.

The paper towel is 2 ply, so I removed one of the plys, glued it to a piece of card stock using a glue stick and then stamped on it.

Easy, Easy!

I love the texture it gives to the card.  And I always like to recycle and reuse!

Supplies Used:

Stamp Set: Sheltering Tree

Ink: various that were originally swiped on the inside of the embossing folder, then spritzed with water.  Early Espresso and Emerald Envy for the trunk and tree.

Paper: Soft Suede, scrap Whisper White

Accessories: paper towel, glue stick
