Here’s another take on the Emboss Resist Technique.
This card combines the Emboss Resist and Clear Block stamping techniques!
I first created by clear block background by dabbing Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder and Night of Navy inks onto my clear block “E”. I spritzed it with water so the inks would run and pool and then stamped it onto my Whisper White card front. I let it sit on the paper for a few seconds. I then removed the block and let the paper dry completely.
(It is important to make sure the paper is totally dry before moving onto the next embossing step. If you don’t, when you add the white embossing powder and emboss, your background may turn white wear the paper was wet.)
Next, I stamped the snowflakes from Flurry of Wishes using Versamark and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I sponged on a little extra ink around the embossed images, then buffed them off with a tissue. This makes the embossed images pop.
I added rhinestones that had been colored with a purple sharpie to the centers of each snowflake. I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the background for a little extra shimmer.
