A couple of days ago, I posted a project I did using the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits to cut out reindeer for Hershey Nugget boxes.
I was left with this strip of silver glimmer reindeer:
I turned it over and used the strip as a stencil to create the Elegant Eggplant reindeer above. Recycle and reuse, right?
The background is the clear block watercolor stamping technique. I dabbed Island Indigo, Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder inks onto my clear block “E”, spritzed it with water so the ink would run and pool, then stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. I let it sit on the paper for a few seconds, lifted it off, and I was left with this pretty tie-dye background.
I placed the stencil on the paper and used a sponge dauber to add Elegant Eggplant ink. In person, the reindeer looks like velvet. I am loving this card!
