Nothing beats a jar filled with colorful candy! The candy in this jar was created using a pencil eraser!
This is an easy and fun technique using an everyday item!
I bet you have a pencil with an eraser sitting on your desk or near your crafting table. So, pick it up, and let’s start crafting!
Here’s how:
I began by stamping the jar image from the stamp set Jar of Love on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Early Espresso ink.
I then dabbed my pencil eraser into Melon Mambo ink and stamped inside the jar image several times.
I cleaned the eraser by swiping it on my worksheet, then moved onto the next color which was Cucumber Crush.
I continued adding more colors,
and more colors, until the jar was filled in with an assortment of bright candies!
I stamped the greeting “Sweet” from the retired set Sweet Shapes alongside the jar in Melon Mambo ink. I stamped the image for the jar top onto a piece of scrap Whisper White card stock using Early Espresso ink and then cut it out using the coordinating Everyday Jars Framelit die. Before adhering the top to the jar, I wrapped a piece of Island Indigo Baker’s Twine around the front, securing it in the back. I then added another piece of baker’s twine over it and tied a simple knot.
I matted the jar to a piece of Melon Mambo card stock, then added it to the Early Espresso card base. Once the card was put together, I added some clear Wink of Stella for a little shimmer.
