Create a bright sunburst by using the cut-out from Sunburst Framelits Die as a stencil.
I had a Sunburst piece left over from my pencil eraser sunshine project I posted on March 8. Instead of throwing it away, I decided to repurpose it as a stencil for my “shine” sunburst card.
I laid the stencil onto my Whisper White card front and sponged color around the rays of the sunburst. Colors used were Crushed Curry, Peek a Boo Punch and Watermelon Wonder. You can see the pencil eraser dots left over from the previous project.
When done, I removed the stencil leaving a white sunburst on a bright background.
I trimmed the edges of the card front and matted it to a piece of Peek a Boo Peach card stock.
The greeting comes from Sunburst Sayings which I stamped onto a piece of So Saffron card stock using Watermelon Wonder ink. I punched it out using my 1 3/4″ circle punch, and layered it to a 2″ Watermelon Wonder circle I then attached the circle to the card front, trimming the bottom half of the circle so it would sit flush on the edge of the Peek a Boo Peach card base.
To complete the card, I added Sprinkles Embellishments (Peek a Boo Peach, Watermelon Wonder and Pool Party), using my Fine Tip Glue to secure the pieces.
Be sure to repurpose your paper pieces from other projects. I did and was able to reuse a sunburst piece as a stencil!
