Ready to Layer and the Stamparatus

Basic Gray Real Red Ready to LayerBasic Gray, Real Red, Smoky Slate, and Gray Granite Ready to Layer

I’ve had the Ready to Layer stamp set for awhile, but I was a little apprehensive about using it until recently.

I really liked the look of the stamped image, but to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure how to go about using the set.

You see, there are 4 images in the set that have to be aligned and stamped separately in different colors.

Ready to Layer

Although this is a photopolymer stamp set, and lining up and placing the stamps on a clear blocks was certainly doable, I knew the Stamparatus would be helpful to making this work.  But I was reluctant to give it a try.

Well, I finally got the set out and figured out how to position and line up the stamps in the Stamparatus for perfect stamping every time.

It really is easy to do.  And once you’ve got the stamps positioned on the hinged plates of the Stamparatus, you can stamp numerous images to use on future projects, cleaning and changing colors in between each one.

I’ve created a tutorial to help you: Ready to Layer and the Stamparatus How To Tutorial

Some basic tips for using this set:

There are four stamps in the Ready to Layer photopolymer stamp set.  You will use all four stamps, plus both hinged plates that come with the Stamparatus.

You will need four colors, one for each stamp.  Use the darkest color for stamp #1.

The plastic packaging has printed numbers, 1-4, next to each stamp. Once you remove the stamps from the packaging, write its number on the front upper left corner of the stamp using a Sharpie pen.

Here are some color possibilities:
