Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Torn Paper Seascape

This is one of my favorite cards, and it was so easy to create.

The landscape possibilities are endless!

The hardest part of this card is tearing the paper.

I know this is hard for many of us.  I tell my Ladies to just breath and tear!

After the piece was put together, I embossed everything using Subtle, my new favorite embossing folder.

It just adds the right amount of texture to finish the card.

Here’s how:

  1. Cut rectangle frame out of Whisper White card stock using the Big Shot and 2 nested Stitched Rectangle dies.
  2. Create seascape out of torn pieces of Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Seaside Spray, Pool Party, Whisper White, and Purple Posy card stock. Cut strips measuring approx. 2 3/8” x 1 ¼”.  Tear one long edge of each of the strips.
  3. Build the seascape on a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 3 5/8” x 2 3/8”. Layer from the bottom up by positioning the Night of Navy strip first.   Apply SNAIL Adhesive to the bottom of the strip only.  Next, apply SNAIL Adhesive to the bottom of the strip of the Pacific Point.  Slip it behind the Night of Navy.  Keep building the layers by adding SNAIL to the bottoms of the strips of Seaside Spray, Whisper White. You will end with the Purple Posy mountains.
  4. To create a mask, punch a hole in a post-it-note using 1 ¼” circle punch. Slip the circle stencil behind the Purple Posy mountains and sponge on Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral inks creating the sunset.
  5. Place the punched post-it-note circle over the sun. Sponge Seaside Spray, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, and Pacific Point inks to create the sky.
  6. Emboss the finished seascape using the Big Shot and Subtle embossing folder. Emboss the fame using the Big Shot and Subtle embossing folder.  Emboss the Whisper White card base using the Big Shot and Subtle embossing folder.
  7. Stamp the greeting in Night of Navy ink using the Stamparatus for placement.
  8. Attach the seascape onto the card base. Add the frame using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up to complete
