Crafting with Aluminum Cans-Bell’s Two Hearted Ale
Two Hearted Ale Card
The can before I cut it down to create the card.
One of my favorite crafting techniques is to cut shapes out of aluminum cans and add them to my card creations.

I’m always on the look out for interesting designs and colors on aluminum cans.
Fortunately, my husband is a craft beer drinker and is always bringing home new beers to try. Often, these beers have interesting labels on the cans.
My husband drinks the beer, then I confiscate the cans to create!
Recently, he tried Two Hearted Ale from Bell’s Brewery in Michigan with this cool fish image on the cans.
This is a perfect image for creating those masculine-themed cards!
I made this card for the husband of a friend of mine who recently passed away.
He is about to put their house up for sale, then leave Colorado for Mississippi.
When asked what he was going to do in Mississippi, he said ” I’m going to live with my son, and we’re going fishing!”
I thought this card would be perfect for him as just a thinking of you card.
This was simple card to make as I matted the image cut from the can using Pumpkin Pie card stock, then to Mossy Meadow, and finally to a Basic Black card base.
I secured the edges by punching holes using my Crop-a-dile, then inserted retired glimmer brads in the 4 corners.
The possibilities are endless!
