Trash to Treasure Carding Making Idea-Bad Phil Beer Bottle Label

Trash to Treasure Card Making Idea

I often use aluminum cans in my card making by cutting them down to use the interesting labels.

I decided to go a little different route with this card.

My husband brought home Bad Phil Pale Ale from Three Barrels Brewing Company in bottles.

I immediately honed in on the Bad Phil label.

Bad Phil Beer Bottle

Isn’t it wonderful?

So, I quickly soaked the empty bottle in warm water to remove the label and got started creating!

Trash to Treasure Bad Phil Beer Bottle Label

Here’s How to Make this Trash to Treasure Card:

  1. Soak bottle in warm water to loosen the label.
  2. Attach label to a piece of card stock backing.
  3. Cut label using a die-cut machine and oval die or oval punch.
  4. Create a frame for the label by nesting two oval dies, one inside the other and cut out of Misty Moonlight card stock using a die-cut machine.  Attach frame to label.
  5. Emboss So Saffron matting using die-cut machine and Bark Embossing Folder.   Attach to Early Espresso card base.
  6. Attach beer label using Dimensionals to pop it up to complete.

Done!  It’s that easy!
