Mystery Cards
My fabulous Upline, Tammy Fite, recently hosted an online Mystery stamping event for her downline.
Before the event, she gave us our first clue for the supplies we would need to create the Mystery Card.
Here is the clue she gave us:
- Cardstock: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Designer Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″. (the card is vertical, so cut accordingly)
- White or Vanilla cardstock: 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
- White or Vanilla cardstock: 1 3/4″ x 3/4″ (for sentiment)
- Stamp set with 2-3 “solid” images
- 3 ink pads
- embellishments, like pearls or rhinestones
- adhesive
- dimensionals
Then, on the event night, she gave us clues on how to put the card together.
Clue 1-cut and score the card stock and DSP
Clue 2-attach DSP to card base
Clue 3-stamp images on the card front using our three colors
Clue 4-attach card front to the base using Dimensionals to pop it up
Clue 5-stamp greeting
Clue 6-attach greeting using Dimensionals to pop it up
Clue 7-add embellishments
Then, she revealed the card she had created, and we shared our cards with her.
Mystery Cards!
It was fun to see what everyone created.
We all have such different stamping styles!
Here is the Mystery Card I made during the event using Country Gingham as my DSP layer, Hello Ladybug stamp set, and Basic Black, Strawberry Sorbet, and Tahitian Tide as my colors.
After the event, I created this Mystery Card using Perfectly Penciled as my DSP layer, Beauty of Friendship stamp set, and Basic Black, Magenta Madness, and Sweet Sorbet as my colors.
