Reflection Technique

Here’s How:

1. Create background:

-tap ink onto clear block “F.”  I used Granny Apple Green, Balmy Blue, Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Pacific Point inks for this card.

-lightly spritz the block with water.  Let the inks run and pool.

-stamp on Basic White card stock.  Let it sit for a few seconds.  Then lift, and set aside to dry.

-Because I wanted a little more green in the center of the background, I added Granny Apple Green ink using a Blending Brush.

2. Stamp bunny on Basic White card stock using Memento Black ink.  Color using Stampin’ Blends or Stampin’ Write Markers.  I used Smoky Slate and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends for this card.

3. Punch bunny using coordinating Bunny punch.

4. Stamp grass on Basic White card stock using Mossy Meadow ink.  Color using Stampin’ Blends or Stampin’ Write Markers.  I used Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Marker for this card.  Fussy cut using scissors. Add Pool Party ink using a Blending Brush to blend the water with the grass.

5.  Create reflection:

-Turn the background upside down and stamp the reflection of the grass just below the landscape and water lines.  I used Mossy Meadow inked, stamped off, then stamped on the background.

-For the bunny’s reflection, I stamped the image on a Silicone Craft Sheet using Memento Black ink.  I used my Stamparatus to get a good inked image.  You could also use a window sheet or a piece of vellum.

-Turn the craft sheet over so the bunny image is upside down.  Lay on the background, just below the waterline.  Press with your fingertips to transfer the inked image.  Remove, and your bunny should have his reflection!

6. Attach punched bunny and grass above the reflection using Mini Dimensionals to pop them up.

7. Attach to Basic White mat, then Pacific Point card base.

8. Stamp greeting on scrap Basic White card stock using Pacific Point ink.  Punch using 3/4″ circle punch.  Sponge Pacific Point ink around the edges.  Attach to Pacific Point 1″ circle.  Attach to the card front using a Mini Dimensional to pop it up.

Done!

The possibilities are endless!
