Drywall Tape Background
I paired the background with this card’s stamp set, Sending Smiles stamp set and coordinating Sending Dies from Stampin’ Up!.
Use the sticky-backed tape used for drywalling for added interest in your card-making.
The drywall tape comes in a roll and can be found at your local home improvement store.

It’s a mesh with a sticky back. Just cut off the amount needed with scissors, and place it on your card front.
Then, add color through the mesh using Blender Brushes or sponges.

For this card, I simply left the drywall tape on the Basic Black card stock, then applied White Craft ink to the mesh with a Blending Brush.
Lift the tape, and you have a “chalkboard” look for an easy background.
Then, I added stamped and die-cut flower images cut from Lemon Lolly, Basic Black and Lemon Lime Twist card stock using Sending Dies.
The greeting was stamped using White Craft ink, then heat embossed using white embossing powder.
