Abundant Beauty Masking Technique
using Embossing Paste
Welcome Fall!
Well, not officially for another few days, but here in the mountains of Southern Colorado, the leaves are starting to change colors.
I decided to celebrate by using the leaves stencil found in the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks collection.
I paired the mask with shimmer embossing paste colored using drops of ink refill.
As you can tell by the little spots of glimmer the camera picked up in the photograph, this card has a little bit of sparkle!
Abundant Beauty Masking Technique How To:
- Using a palette knife, make small piles of embossing paste on a silicone mat. Add a few drops of reinker to each pile. I used Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss, and Old Olive inks. Mix using the palette knife.
- Place leaf decorative mask on Very Vanilla card front using washi tape or similar to hold in place. With the palette knife, spread the different colored embossing paste over the mask.
- Remove the mask when satisfied with the coverage and set aside to dry. In the meantime, clean the embossing paste off the palette knife and silicone mat. If it dries, it’ll be hard to clean later.
- Attach to Crushed Curry mat. Attach to Cajun Craze card base.
- Stamp greeting from Pick of the Patch stamp set on Very Vanilla card stock using Cajun Craze ink. Lightly add Crushed Curry ink along the edges using a Blending Brush. Attach to Old Olive mat. Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.
- Add 2023-2025 Decorative Dots to complete.
