Patchwork Die Mummy Halloween Card
Happy Halloween!
I used the Patchwork Die to create this blue-eye mummy card for Halloween.
It makes me smile, and I hope it does you too!
Patchwork Die Mummy Halloween Card How To:
- Emboss a piece of Basic White card stock using Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
- Die-cut using the Patchwork Pieces.
- Sponge Memento Black ink along the edges.
- Attach patchwork pieces on Basic Black card front, leaving a space between a couple of the pieces for the eyes.
- Emboss scrap piece of Balmy Blue card stock using Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Punch or die-cut circles for the eye. I used the retired Playful Pals stamp set and coordinating Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies to create the eyes. This is one of the few retired sets that I have kept in my stash, as I use the set often to create cards for our grandkids. I stamped the eyes on Balmy Blue card stock using Memento Black ink, then cut using the coordinating die. I colored the lids with a silver welder’s pencil that I found in our kitchen junk drawer. Um, ok. Not sure when or why it ended up in this drawer, but I’m sure my husband had something to do with it!
- Attach the eyes using Mini Dimensionals to pop them up.
- Stamp greeting and dots from Pick of the Patch stamp set on scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Memento Black ink. Die-cut or punch using 1 1/4″ circle punch. Sponge Memento Black ink along the edges. Attach to 1 3/4″ Balmy Blue circle and attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.
