Paper Towel Background Aspens
I love recycling paper towels to create fun textured backgrounds in my crafting.
I had this paper towel left over after cleaning stamps and blotting watercolors from recent projects.
What a great mix of fall colors with the oranges and yellows.
I knew it would pair nicely with the Aspen Trees Die for an easy fall-themed card.
Paper Towel Background Aspens How To:
- Separate the plys of the paper towel so you are working with one sheet. You can use the other ply for another project.
- Attach the sheet to a piece of Basic White card stock. By attaching it to a card stock background, you’ll be able to cut it down to the size you need easily.
- Die-cut aspens out of Copper Clay card stock using the Aspen Tree Die. Die-cut leaves out of Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry card stock.
- Layer the aspens over the paper towel background using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up. Attach leaves.
- Stamp greeting from Sending Smiles on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock using Copper Clay ink. Attach to Crushed Curry mat. I used my retired Label punch for the matting. Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.
- Add Copper Clay Adhesive-backed solid gems to complete.
