Handcrafted Elements Paper Towel Background

Handcrafted Elements Paper Towel Background

I often incorporate paper towels I’ve used to clean stamps or blot watercolors in my paper crafting.

You can see some of my paper towel backgrounds HERE

It’s a great way to recycle and reuse while adding interesting colors and textures to your card making!

I had this paper towel sitting on my craft table, and knew I had to use it with its pretty shades of green.

I paired it with the Handcrafted Elements Dies found in the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog.

This often overlooked set of dies is retiring on January 3 and is currently available at the discounted price of 34.20.

Don’t forget to check out the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog Last Chance items before they are gone for good!

Handcrafted Elements Paper Towel Background How To:

1. Separate the plys on the paper towel.  You can use the 2nd ply for another project.

2.Attach the paper towel to a card stock background.  By doing this, you’ll be able to easily cut it down to the size needed for your project.

3. Die-cut the detailed leaves from Handcrafted Elements out of the paper towel, leaving an oval opening.

4.Die-cut the outline leaves out of coordinating card stock (Pretty Peacock).

5.Attach the outline to the detail leaves using a small amount of liquid or fine tip glue.

6. Attach a piece of Vellum card stock to the back side of the paper towel.  Insert the leaves in the opening on the front using a small amount of liquid or fine tip glue.

7. Attach paper towel card front to Perfect Peacock card base.

8. Stamp greeting from Sending Smiles on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock using Perfect Peacock ink.  Die-cut using coordinating Sending banner die.  Attach to Perfecct Peacock mat.  Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.

9. Add gems and dots to card front to complete.
