Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Black Ice Technique with Simply Zinnias

Black Ice Technique with Simply Zinnias

Swipe ink (usually Black Stazon*) on foil paper (gold, silver, copper) using the Direct to Paper Technique for a stunning effect.

*Stazon is a solvent ink that is used to stamp on non-porous surfaces: vellum, foil paper, wood, tiles

It will dry on these surfaces whereas regular water-based inks will not.

You will need Stazon Cleaner to remove the ink from your stamps.

Here, I paired the Black Ice Technique with the Simply Zinnias stamp set.

Black Ice Technique with Simply Zinnias How-to:

1. Stamp flowers from Simply Zinnias onto Silver Foil using Black Stazon ink.

2. Swipe Stazon along the edges and around the stamped image.

3. Dab Versamark on the stamped image.  Heat emboss using a heat tool and clear embossing powder.

4. Attach to a Basic Black mat.  Attach to a Basic White card base.

5.  Stamp greeting from Simply Zinnias on Basic White scrap using Memento Black ink.  Sponge Memento Black ink along the edges.  Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.

The Black Ice Technique is great for masculine-themed cards.

The possibilities are endless!
