Shimmery Snowflake Cards
It’s been cooler here in the mountains of southern Colorado signaling the change from Fall into Winter.
We’ll soon see snow as we head into the Winter/Christmas/Holiday paper-crafting season.
I thought I’d get a head start on my Christmas cards by creating some easy, clean and simple shimmery snowflake cards.
White card base and front with pops of color!
The color possibilities are endless!
Here’s How:
1.Die-cut a circle out of Basic White card stock using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and a Deckled Circle die.
2.Add color (Fresh Freesia, Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue) to the center of the circle using a Blender Brush, sponge or Sponge Dauber. Make the color as light or as dark as you like.
3.Punch or die-cut snowflakes out of shimmery paper. I do not have a current snowflake punch or die set, so I used an older Sizzix snowflake die. Also, I used some retired shimmery paper from my stash.
Stampin’ Up! does have current snowflake dies and glimmer paper that can easily be used for this project!
I cut 2 snowflakes out of each of the papers, then layered one on top of the other using a Dimensional in between.
4.Emboss Basic White card base using Snowflake Sky embossing folder. Attach to Basic White card base. Attach the circle to the center of the card front, then add the snowflake using a Dimensional to pop it up.
5. Stamp greeting on coordinating card stock using coordinating ink. Punch using 1 1/4″ circle punch and add to the center of the snowflake to complete.
Done!
Happy Snowflakes!
