Happiest Day Faux Postage How-to:
1.Die-cut card front using large Perennial Postage die to get the scalloped/postage stamp edges around the card front.
2.Create the Faux Postage template:
-Determine the size of your template based on your card front. Mine was slightly larger than my 5″ x 3 ¾” card front, leaving a border around the edges for a balanced look. Adjust as needed to fit your design. For my template, I used a piece of Stampin’ Up! grid sheet paper.
-Arrange the various-sized Perennial Postage Dies on a grid sheet to plan and visualize your template layout.
-Run grid sheet paper through a die-cut machine, cutting out the shapes.
3.Place the template on Basic White card front. Secure the template using washi or painter’s tape so it doesn’t shift.
4.With Blending Brushes, add ink to the insides of each block. Make the color as light or dark as you’d like. I used Balmy Blue ink for this card.
5. Keeping the template in place, stamp the images from Happiest Day stamp set in each block. I used Blackberry Bliss, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Afternoon Azure inks.
6.When satisfied, remove the template from the card front.
7.Emboss the postage cancellation image in the upper-right hand corner of the card front using the Perennial Postage Die.
8. Attach to Blackberry Bliss mat. Attach to Blooming Impressions Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration choice, but any DSP will do) mat, then to Basic White card base.
9. Add purple gems to complete.
Done!
