Happiest Day Faux Quilt
I’m not a seamstress or quilter, but I love the look of Faux Quilted Cards!
This faux Happiest Days quilt block came together easily using scraps of card stock and designer paper, making it a fun and simple project.
It’s the perfect way to give your paper scraps new life!
Happiest Days Faux Quilt How-to:
1.Cut card stock and designer paper into 9-1 1/4″ squares. For this card, I used Basic White and Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper.
Bloom Impressions was a Sale-A-Bration choice, but any designer paper you have in your stash will work.
2.Stamp images from Happiest Day stamp set on the Basic White squares. The colors I used were Melon Mambo, Blackberry Bliss, and Flirty Flamingo for the dragonflies, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie for the sun, Afternoon Azure for the stars, and Blackberry Bliss for the greeting.
3.Sponge Flirty Flamingo, and Afternoon Azure along the edges of the white blocks.
4.Adhere the 9 squares to Blackberry Bliss card stock slightly larger than the block so it includes the matting.
5.Emboss the quilt block using die-cut machine and Cute Crochet Embossing Folder.
6.Attach to Melon Mambo card base. Add purple gem embellishments to complete.
Done!
The possibilities are endless!
