Upcycle-Paper Towel Easter Eggs

Upcycle-Paper Towel Easter Eggs

What can I do with Paper Towels?

Make a Card!

I often repurpose the paper towels used for cleaning stamps or blotting watercolors in my crafting.

I transformed colorful, ink-stained paper towels into unique and vibrant Easter eggs, perfect for Easter crafting!

By repurposing paper towels, I created textured, eye-catching designs that add a creative twist to traditional egg decorating.

Just in time for Easter, this fun and eco-friendly technique is a great way to recycle and bring new life to your crafting supplies!

Upcycle- Paper Towel Easter Eggs Here’s How:

  • Clean your stamps with a damp paper towel, leaving behind a unique mix of colors. Let it dry.
  • Separate the plys of the paper towel, giving you two crafting pieces.
  • Attach one ply to a scrap piece of cardstock for stability, making it easier to cut.
  • Die-cut or punch the paper towel into ovals. I used my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and an oval die.
  • Optionally, stamp images over the ovals to add extra detail and interest. I used a variety of stamps and ink.
  • Emboss a Basic White card front with the Cute Crochet Embossing Folder, then die-cut a larger oval opening.
  • Arrange and secure the Easter egg ovals on Blackberry Bliss cardstock, using the card front as a placement guide.
  • Apply Foam Adhesive Strips to the back edges of the card front, then attach it over the eggs for dimension.
  • Stamp greeting (Celebrating You-retired) on Petal Pink card stock using Blackberry Bliss ink. Punch using 1 1/4″ circle punch.  Sponge Blackberry Bliss ink along the edges. Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.  Add gem embellishments to complete.

Done!
