Layered Florals Enamel Effects
Add fun metallic accents to your handmade cards with these Metallic Enamel Effects Basics lacquer. This quick-drying enamel puts you in charge of the size, shape, and look of the embellishments you add to your paper crafts. Use them to quickly and easily dab, draw, or design the metallic accents you want: hearts, dots, stars, and more! May cause smearing when applied directly to ink.
For this card, I simply applied Gold Enamel Effects to a piece of Basic White card stock that I first embossed using the new Layered Florals Embossing Folder.
I added drops of the Enamel Effects to a Silicone Craft Sheet, then applied the lacquer using a sponge. You could use a Sponge Dauber or Blending Brush.
I then added a light layer of the Copper lacquer to add a little bit more color and shine.
Make the color as light or as dark as you want by adding more lacquer.
Easy and it adds a little WOW to your card making!
Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card for the family of a long-time Wetmore resident who recently passed away.
So, I used the “With Sympathy” greeting from the long-ago retired Teeny Tiny Wishes.
This is one of the few stamp sets I have saved over the years as I like the variety and size of the greetings.
I have a selection of retired metallic baker’s twine, so I used the Copper tied around the card front.
The card front is matted to a piece of Copper Foil, then attached to a Basic White card base.
Stampin’ Up! also carries Pearlized Enamel Effects in white, black and red.
Add pearlescent shimmer to your projects with this Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics lacquer. You can use this lacquer in so many ways. The small, thin tip makes it easy to outline stamped images or add detail. Draw attention to part of a stamped image. Write and draw shapes such as stars and hearts. Create dots to use on your creations.
