Triptych Cards Using Designer Paper
This is a great way to use one sheet of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper!
What is a triptych?
A quick internet defines it as, “A picture or relief carving on three panels, typically hinged together side by side and used as an altarpiece.”
This is a perfect way to use the beautiful 6″ x 6″ designer series paper offered by Stampin’ Up!
Meandering Meadow, Thoughtful Journey, and Splendid Autumn.
Triptych Cards Using Designer Paper How-To:
1.Start with a piece of 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of card stock. Score at 2 1/8″ and 5 1/2″.
2.Cut 3 panels out of one piece of designer series paper measuring 2″ x 5 1/4″. You will also need one piece of neutral-colored card stock for the 4th panel to be used for your greeting. For these two cards, I used Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper.
Be sure to keep the panels in the order of how you cut them to keep the flow of the design on the paper. You will have 3/4″ of the designer paper left over to use for another project.
4. Attach the 3 pieces of designer paper onto 3 panels.
The layout can be three in a row like the sample one card below or two, then the neutral piece, then the last piece of designer paper on the last panel like the sample two card below.
5. Stamp a greeting to complete. I used the greeting and speckles from Country Birdhouse.
Done!
The possibilities are endless!
