Frosted Forest Boo
Happy Halloween!
I don’t normally send out Halloween cards, so I don’t purchase Halloween-specific products.
If I do create a Halloween card, I try to use products I already have in my stash, and this was the case with this card.
I used Frosted Forest Decorative Mask, paired with Embossing Paste mixed with Memento Black refill to create a spooky Halloween landscape.
Easy!
Frosted Forest Boo How-to:
1. Secure a piece of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper to your work surface using a piece of washi tape.
2.To create the moon stencil, punch a 2″ circle in a scrap piece of card stock. Place on the DSP card front, and apply Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze inks using Blending Brushes.
3.Place Embossing Paste on a Craft Silicone Mat, add a few drops of Memento Black ink refill, and mix using a palette knife.
4.Place Frosted Forest Decorative Mask “A” on DSP card front, and apply Embossing Paste using a palette knife, spreading it like you were frosting a cake. Remove the mask, and repeat with additional trees. Add embossing paste to the bottom of the trees to create a landscape.
5. Set piece aside to dry and clean your tools as the Embossing Paste will harden.
6.Attach card front to Basic Black mat. Attach to Smoky Slate card base.
7. I used the bats and greeting from Frights & Delights, a past Paper Pumpkin kit. For the greeting, I stamped it on a scrap piece of the Winter Meadow DSP, then punched it with a 1 1/4″ circle punch and matted it to a 1 3/4″ Basic Black circle.
8. Add Black Dots to complete.
Happy Halloween!
