Take a Bow Ornament Cards

Take a Bow Ornament Cards

Here is an idea for easy Christmas/Holiday card making!
All you need is a circle punch or die and some pretty designer paper.

I used the Take a Bow 6″x6″ Designer Series paper in red, white, and green Christmas colors!

This idea is a great way to use up paper scraps!

Take a Bow Ornament Cards How To:

1.Using a circle die or punch, cut a circle out of Take a Bow Designer Series paper.  I used my 2 1/2″ circle punch.

2.Emboss Basic White card front using Cute Crochet or Snowflake Sky embossing folders.

3. Create a hanger for the top of the ornament using a die, punch or cutting free-hand.  I used a retired ornament punch to cut the hanger out of Wild Wheat card stock. Attach to top of ornament.

For the 4th card, I created a ring around the ornament by using my 2 1/2″ and 2″ circle punches.  I first punched the 2″ circle out of Wild Wheat card stock, then placed the 2 1/2″ circle punch around the opening and punched, creating a 1/2″ ring.

4.Secure a piece of ribbon or baker’s twine around the back of the card front, bringing the end down to where the ornament will sit.

5.Attach the card front to Real Red mat, then to Whisper White card base. Attach the ornament using Dimensionals to pop it up.  Tie a bow out of the ribbon or baker’s twine and attach to the hanger using a Glue Dot.

6. Add a greeting.  I used a greeting from the retired Tree Angle stamp set, stamped on Real Red card stock using Versamark, then heat embossed using a heat tool and white embossing powder.  I banner cut the ends and then attached to the card front using Dimensionals. Or, simply stamp the greeting on the Basic White card front using Real Red ink.

7. Add festive pearls to complete.
