Seaside Wishes Faux Quilt Card

Seaside Wishes Faux Quilt Card

I’m not a seamstress or quilter, but I love the look of Faux Quilted Cards!

This faux Seaside Wishes quilt block came together easily using scraps of card stock and designer paper, paired with die-cut sand dollars, making it a fun and simple seaside-themed card.

It’s the perfect way to give your paper scraps new life!

Seaside Wishes Faux Quilt Card How To:

1. Create the faux quilt

-Die-cut sand dollars out of Basic White card stock using a die-cut machine and Seaside Wishes Die.

-Attach to 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ Night of Navy squares.

-Attach to Designer Series Paper background.  For this card, I used the retired Waves of Inspiration DSP.

-Emboss using a die-cut machine and embossing folder to replicate the quilt stitching.  For this card, I used the retired Softly Sophisticated embossing folder.

2. Complete the card

-Attach the faux quilt card front to Basic White card base.  This card measures 6″ x 4″.

-Stamp greeting (Sending Wishes) on Basic White card stock using Night of Navy ink.

-Die-cut using coordinating Sending Die and attach to Night of Navy mat.

-Attach to card front using Mini Dimensionals to pop it up.
