Focus on Spring Flowers

Focus on Spring Flowers

This bright and happy card celebrates the beauty of spring through the lens of creativity. Using the Capturing Smiles and Country Birdhouse dies, a charming camera comes to life, surrounded by soft, colorful blooms.

Fresh spring tones and layered details create a lighthearted design that feels both playful and uplifting—perfect for sharing a little sunshine and sending warm seasonal smiles.

Focus on Spring Flowers How-to

Create card front:

-Die-cut the camera from Basic Black and Basic White card stock using the Capture Smiles Dies.

-Die-cut flowers and leaves from Flirty Flamingo, Berry Burst, Petal Pink, Fresh Freesia, Garden Green, and Granny Apple Green card stock using the Country Birdhouse dies*.

-Stamp the small flower image from Country Birdhouse onto Basic White card stock using Memento Black ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends or Stampin’ Write Markers, then punch or die-cut using a 1″ circle.

-Layer the camera die-cuts slightly offset to create depth.

-Adhere the flowers and leaves to the front of the camera.

-Attach the stamped flower image to the center of the floral cluster.

*The Country Birdhouse stamp set and dies are retired. Any small flower/leaf punches or dies will work. Choose a small image that fits nicely inside the camera lens.

Complete card:

-Attach the finished camera to a pattern from Square Snippets Designer Series Paper. Mount onto a Basic Black mat, then adhere to a Basic White card base.

-Stamp your greeting (I used one from the retired Bunny Bunnies Paper Pumpkin kit).

-Create a frame for the center image by nesting two circle punches or dies. I used 1-1/4″ and 1-3/8″ circle punches.

Happy Spring!
