Mix, Match & Give Back: Caring by Card Postcard Ideas
My May postcards for the Caring by Card Network came together using the Easter Time Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, paired with bits of designer series paper and my favorite paper towel backgrounds. I save the paper towels I use for cleaning stamps or blotting watercolor—those layers of leftover ink create beautiful, unexpected color and texture that add so much interest to each piece.
I had fun mixing and matching the patterns and colors from the DSP and paper towels with the ephemera elements, resulting in a collection of bright, cheerful postcards.
Over the past several months, I’ve really enjoyed creating postcards for Caring by Card. It’s also a great way to reach for my retired Stampin’ Up! products and make the most of supplies I already have—creating with both intention and purpose. Postcards are especially practical, too, since they require fewer layers than traditional cards and make it easy to include more in a single mailing.
If your stash of handmade cards is growing, consider sharing them through a program like this. It’s a meaningful way to pass along your creativity while bringing a little joy to someone’s day.

I used the retired stamp sets Sending Smiles and Sending Love stamp sets for the greetings and the postcard images.
