Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

A Card to Say Hello Color Dare 709

A Card to Say Hello Color Dare 709

Here is the challenge:

For this card, created for the Color Dare Challenge, using browns plus two additional colors

I combined current and retired products to create a layered, faux postage-stamp-inspired design.

I colored the lily image from the new Lily of the Valley Bundle with Lucky Limeade and Coastal Cabana markers, adding a pop of color against the neutral background.

Next, I paired it with stamp and postmark images from the retired Sending Love set and stamped them in Early Espresso to create an aged postal look.

I heat embossed the greeting from the retired Sending Smiles set with Wild Wasabi embossing powder from my stash, adding subtle texture.

To bring in even more detail, I used the crosshatch die from the Lily of the Valley Bundle as a stencil to create textured markings on the Crumb Cake insert.

Finally, I die-cut an opening in the Early Espresso card front with a Perennial Postage die to frame the focal image and complete the card.

I hope you’ll join in the fun!

Color challenges are a great way to spark creativity and try color combinations you might not normally choose.

Simply create your project, share it on your favorite social media platform—blog, Facebook, Instagram, and more—then link your creation on the Color Dare site.

I’d love to see what you create!
