Velvet Meadow Fun Fold Card You’ll Love to Make

I created this Velvet Meadow Fun Fold Card during one of the monthly Mystery Stamping Zoom sessions hosted by my fabulous upline, Tammy Fite.
Before each meeting, Tammy provides a card recipe with the cardstock measurements needed for the project.
We gather our stamps, inks, designer papers, and embellishments, then assemble the card one clue at a time as she reveals each step.
The fun comes from seeing how everyone’s unique supplies transform the same layout into completely different designs.
This fun fold quickly became one of my favorites, and I know I’ll be reaching for this versatile pattern again and again.
The possibilities are endless!

Fun Fold How-to:
You’ll Need
- Card Base: 5½” x 4¼”
- Folding Flap: Trim 2⅛” from the right side of the card base. Save this piece for the flap and score it in half (approximately 2½”).
- Designer Series Paper: Three pieces, 2″ x 5¼” (cut either vertically or horizontally)
- Coordinating Cardstock Mat for flap: 1¾” x 2″
- Neutral Cardstock (inside): 4″ x 5¼”
- Greeting Pieces: Two coordinating die-cut or punched shapes
Assemble the Card
- Trim 2⅛” from the right side of the card base to create the panel opening. Set the trimmed piece aside to use as the folding flap.
- Score the flap in half (approximately 2½”). Adhere one half of the flap to the inside right edge of the card base, aligning the score line with the edge of the card.
- Cover the attached flap by adhering the 4″ x 5¼” neutral cardstock panel to the inside of the card.
- Adhere the Designer Series Paper panels:
- One panel to the left front of the card.
- One panel to the right front panel.
- One panel to the inside left panel.
- Stamp your greeting or focal image on one die-cut shape. Adhere the coordinating cardstock mat to the front of the flap, then attach the stamped die-cut. Adhere the second die-cut shape to the back of the flap for a finished look from both sides.
- Complete the card by adding embellishments as desired.
Thank you, Tammy, for the inspiration!
