Soft Suede, Midnight Muse and Old Olive are our colors for this week’s Nacho Average challenge.

Which was inspired by this photo found in a catalog I recently received from Audubon Workshop! I thought this was so pretty and could be easily replicated using the challenge colors.
To make the bird bath, I first stamped on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla using the Elements of Style stamp set in Midnight Muse ink. I then cut out the piece using my Big Shot and the smallest oval of the Oval Collection Framelits. I added Crystal Effects to the bowl to simulate water and set the whole thing aside to dry.
The rim of the bird bath was cut out of Soft Suede using the 2nd to the smallest oval framelit. The base of the bird bath was cut out of Soft Suede using one of the Holiday Ornaments framelits. Both the rim and the base were then embossed using the Big Shot and Houndstooth Embossing Folder.
I shaped and turned up the rim and basin slightly with my fingernails, then built the bird bath on my Very Vanilla card front that had been embossed using the Big Shot and Honeycomb Embossing Folder. Everything was popped off the card front using Dimensionals.
I punched the bird out of Soft Suede Neutrals Designer Series Paper using my Bird Builder punch. I also created the grass out of a scrap piece of Old Olive card stock that I first embossed using my Big Shot and Vine Embossing Folder. I snipped the top edge with a pair of scissors and then fluffed this way and that.
Once the Crystal Effects was completely dried (about 1 hour sitting on top of my pellet stove), I added the bowl to the rim using Dimensionals. I assembled the whole piece to the Midnight Muse card base, then added the bird, again using Dimensionals.
