Stamping With Blue Moon Creations

Quartz Technique Tutorial

My new all-time favorite stamping technique is the Quartz Technique!  I love how the ink and colors in this technique and how each project will be different.

I learned this technique from Donna at Butternut Sage Designs.

Here are some of my recent creations using this technique:

This was my first attempt at the Quartz Technique.  I made several quartz hearts for a Stamp Club card swap.

Quartz hearts 001

I first cut a heart out of my Bashful Blue card front using
the Big Shot and Hearts Collection Framelit.
The Quartz heart sits on the inside of the card, showing through to the
front.  Again, I used the Big Shot and
Hearts Collection Framelit to cut the heart out of the window sheet. The scored
Bashful Blue front is simply attached to an Elegant Eggplant base.  For interest, I pierced around the heart on
the front using my Paper Piercing Tool, Mat and Occasions Paper-Piercing
Bundle.

Here is my worksheet with the drying hearts I used for the
swap cards.
