Iris Folded Christmas Ornament-Merry Monday Challenge #47

Iris Folded Christmas Ornament-Merry Monday Challenge #47

I am very honored to be the Guest Designer this week over at the Merry Monday challenge site!

Our sketch was a Tic Tac Toe challenge.  We could use any of the boxes, up, down or diagonally in our design.

I chose to work with the upper row, “Blue, Dry Embossing and Snow”, for this Iris Folded Christmas Ornament.

For the “blue” in the challenge, I used some of my blue-patterned scraps of paper from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Pack.  The card base is Bashful Blue and the greeting is stamped in Island Indigo.

I embossed the background for the ornament using my Big Shot and Northern Flurry embossing folder for the “dry embossed” part of the challenge.  This embossing folder also took care of the “snow” part of the challenge.

Iris Folding is one of my all-time favorite techniques. For more Iris Folding instructions, along with a video tutorial, please visit my Iris Folding Page HERE.

I watched the videos and realized how to do a shaker card. Pretty cool. The bubble wrap card is so much fun. The blue really stands out in each card. I like your videos. You get right to the card instructions. Great creative ideas. -D Welch
