Pennant Punch Trees-Merry Monday Sketch Challenge #45

Merry Monday Top Pick

It seems odd to be making Christmas cards already, but that is the point over at the Merry Monday Challenge site.  Make Christmas cards throughout the year, so by next Christmas, you’ll have a stash of cards ready to go!

So, here’s my contribution to this week’s sketch:

Pennant Punch Trees 002

This card was inspired by the view outside my living room window here at our small house in a big forest.  We received just a bit of snow last night so there is a light dusting on the ground.

The trees were punched out of scraps of designer series paper using my Petite Pennants punch.  The background and landscape pieces were embossed using my Big Shot and Snow Flurry embossing folder.  I always have a slight panic attack whenever there are those pesky banners in a sketch.  I have such a hard time with them as my points never seem to be even.  I actually think I did a pretty good job on the banner for this greeting.  But, I won’t tell you how many tries it took me 🙂

Here’s the sketch:

  5. WOW! I love this card, Anne! Love how you painted the winter scene with your adorable trees and pretty snowflake embossing! Your flag looks awesome but I know what you mean with the tails looking uneven. I get beside myself when I see them on a sketch! I’m slowly getting better though! 🙂 Thanks for playing along with us this week over at Merry Mondays! 🙂
