Happy Day after Christmas!
For this card, I used a fun product called embossing paste by Dreamweaver Stencils. This has been in my crafting stash for quite awhile. I was cleaning out my crafting cabinet recently and came across it. It’s fun and easy to work with, so I decided to do a quick project.
Dreamweaver embossing paste comes comes in a jar and looks like white frosting. You simply apply it over a stencil using a palette knife as if you were icing a cake. (I used an old butter knife). Lift the stencil and let the paste dry (about 30 minutes). Once dry, the project will have a cool texture and dimension.
Color can easily be added to the paste by adding a drop of reinker. For this card, I added 1 drop of Not Quite Navy reinker and mixed it using my butter knife.
My stencil was a strip of Whisper White card stock punched three times using the Snowflake punch from Stampin’ Up!
I laid the stencil on top of my card base adding a little strip of Dotto temporary adhesive to the back to help keep it in place.
Then with the butter knife, I spread the embossing paste with my butter knife, doing one snowflake at a time.
Once dry, I added some punched flower centers and brads and layered the piece to a strip of Elegant Eggplant card stock. Stamped my greeting and added the snowflakes to a Whisper White card base. Easy, easy!
